 The ‘Luis Guillermo Pineda' Library is a binational, public and circulating library dedicated to the diffusion of the American and Venezuelan cultures.
It consists of six areas and its subdivisions: Science and technology, Education, Social Arts, Administration and economy, Art and Literature, and Reference Books. It also offers a children section and bussiness section.

The library Club
It is made up of all the children registered in the library service. Its purpose is to integrate our little members in activities that are oriented to the discovery of the fascinating world of books; different library-use, painting, clay modeling, origami and book making workshops and other complementary activities.
Activities Extended to the Community
The library organizes various activities for the entertainment of the community such as; literary circles, round table discussions and talks, Movies for children and adults, and interesting documentaries are shown every month.
Library Membership
The library Card identifies you as a member and allows you to enjoy the advantages of the loaning of more that seven thousand books in English. This membership is open to the general publish.

This Library Card is valid for one year from the time it was issued. When becoming a mender. The user automatically agrees to the terms stated in the current policies of usage and maintenance of books, magazines and audiovisual material as well as the facilities and the property and equipment .

Library Scholarship
The Luis Guillermo Pineda Scholarship is a scholarship awarded to the author of the best essay based on a free topic; the awarded student receives free registration for three consecutive levels. Check the rules of the contest for a chance to win a scholarship to study English in this institution.

Born in Maracaibo, January 18th, 1933.
He studied primary school and part of high school at Maristas School. In 1953. He moved to the united states where he completed his high school studies in “The Hill school”. He continued his higher education in Babson College in Wesley Hills, Massachusetts, where he graduated as an economist .
In his return to Venezuela, he began working in the family businesses he started working at la casa electrica, a regional chain of white and brown line stores. He also founded ELGA de Venezuela. The first company in charge of the Retail, instalment of central air conditioners.
He was the director of various financial institutions. He was the director of "Panorama" Newspaper. He was the director and president of the Maracaibo Chamber of Commerce. He was captain of a fire fighter squad of Maracaibo, the founding president of Centro Venezolano Americano del Zulia (CEVAZ) and member of the board of directors of Bella Vista School.
He was a hard working man of great tenacity, great virtues, great values and sensubility. He earned the appreciation of all the people that knew him.
He had six children, Luis Guillermo III, Federico, Barbara, Tomas, Daniel y Andres. He died on may 26th, 1987.
